Pricing Policy
This policy governs every price quoted by Setindiabiz Private Limited, across all services and all offices, whether the quote is given by email, over a call or through the website. Where an engagement letter or a signed proposal says something different, that document prevails for that engagement.
Why We Do Not Publish a Package Price
The cost of the same service is rarely the same for two clients. It moves with the entity involved, the State, the size and stage of the business, the registrations and documents already in hand, and the volume of work the matter actually carries. Statutory fees add a second layer, since several of them are slab-based or State-specific and are revised by notification without notice.
A single advertised figure can only be built by assuming the simplest possible case. Every client whose case is not the simplest then receives a second bill. We would rather ask the questions first and quote a figure that holds.
How We Prepare an Estimate
You can send us your requirement through our inquiry form, email, or by writing to the office handling your matter. We ask for the facts that decide the cost, and we ask for all of them at one time rather than in installments.
The matter is then reviewed by a person, not a rate card. You receive a written estimate by email or other modes of communication, and a member of the team speaks to you about the scope, the alternatives, and what we would recommend for your case. There is no charge for this and no obligation to proceed.
What an Estimate Contains
Every estimate sets out the professional fee, the statutory fees (wherever ascertainable), the third-party charges, GST, the scope of work, the documents we will need from you (initially for review), a working-day timeline estimate, and a list of what is not included. The three sections below state the default position, which each estimate then repeats and adjusts to the matter.
What Is Charged at Actuals and Shown Separately
These heads are not our income. They are paid to someone else on your behalf/authority, shown as a separate line, and recovered without a margin:
- statutory fees of a department, registry or authority, including filing fees, name reservation fees, stamp duty and registration charges;
- digital signature certificates, one for each signatory, of the class and validity the filing requires;
- the fee of an independent practicing professional where the law requires a certificate from a person outside our team;
- notarisation, apostille, consular legalization, translation, courier and travel, where your matter needs them.
Where a figure cannot be known on the day of the estimate, such as stamp duty in a State that computes it on the executed document, the estimate says so, gives the basis and the range, and we confirm the exact amount before you pay it.
How We Handle a Change
The moment we see that a change will affect the cost, we will tell you in writing, with the reason and the revised figure. We wait for your written approval before doing any work that carries an added cost. You are free at that point to approve, to change the instruction, or to stop.
Timelines: Timelines in an estimate are working-day estimates for the steps within our control. The time an authority takes to process, examine, object to, or approve is not within our control and is not a term of the estimate.
Payment: Payment terms, including any advance and the stages at which the balance falls due, are stated in the estimate itself. Statutory fees are collected before the corresponding filing, since a filing cannot be made without them.
