2. FSSAI State License

Businesses with a turnover of more than 12 lakh to 20 crores are required to obtain an FSSAI state license. This state license is widely chosen by small- to medium-sized businesses, retailers, restaurant marketers, storage units, distributors, and so on.
Documents required for State FSSAI License:
  • Documents proving a person’s identity, such as an Aadhar card, passport, voter ID card, driving license, and so on.
  • An in-depth description of the nature of the business.
  • A rental agreement must be signed if the business premise is rented.
  • Submit any government registration certificates, such as a certificate of incorporation, a trade license, a partnership deed, a firm registration, a GST registration number, and so on.
  • If the business is a partnership firm or a private limited company, submit the MOA and AOA or Partnership Deed.
  • To obtain a State FSSAI license, the following licenses must be submitted: e-Trade license, corporation license, municipal license, shop, and establishment registration (anyone).
  • FSSAI declaration form.

3. FSSAI Central License

Firms with a revenue of more than 20 crores must obtain an FSSAI central license. This central license is required for importers, manufacturers, federal government operators, airports, seaports, and railways, among others.
The cost of obtaining a basic, state, or central license varies and is determined by several circumstances. The license’s tenure ranges from one to five years after that you need an FSSAI license renewal.
